    Delhi

    Arrival in Delhi. You will be welcomed by our local representative. Transfer to the hotel and check in.

    Then, on route for a visit of the city of New Delhi. The capital of India is a fascinating, complex and contradictory city, filled with beauty, dynamism and where the past coexists with the present. You will discover Old Delhi with the visit of Raj Ghat which is the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi. You will continue your journey with the Jama Masjid Grand Mosque.

    This mosque is the largest in the country. It can accommodate up to 25,000 worshipers. Then, visit the Door of India, memory of the World War I and the road which leads to the residence of the President and which is flanked by the buildings of the parliament and of the secretarial department of the government.

    Then you will pass the Red Fort. Dominating the Yamuna River, this impressive fort contains many palaces with refined decorations but also buildings that make it a city in the city. The site is a UNESCO World Heritage Site Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

    Delhi / Mandawa (280 km aprox.)

    You will leave for Mandawa. Lunch on arrival and check in at the hotel. The Shekhawati region is renowned for its human and artistic endeavours. Shekhawati is an interesting urban area located in the triangle of Jaipur, Delhi and Bikaner.

    What makes these cities famous are their remarkably arranged, sculpted and painted Havelis. Most of these Havelis date back to the eighteenth and early nineteenth century.

    The main cities of this area are: Nawalgarh, Dunlod and Mandawa. At the end of the afternoon you will visit the Havelies, houses historically known for their architectural style. This is a true ‘Open Air Art Gallery’. Most Havelis are still inhabited and you will be welcome. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

    Mandawa / Bikaner (187 km approx.)

    Breakfast at the hotel and meeting with the guide. You will leave for Bikaner. Check in and have lunch at the hotel. Bikaner, a district in the north-western state of Rajasthan.

    The city which is, to this day, the administrative seat of the region and was formerly the capital of this princely state. The city, founded by Rao Bika in 1486, is to date the fourth largest city of Rajasthan. It is surrounded by a crenelated rampart and was once a milestone on the caravan route.

    A camel party takes place every year in February. In the afternoon you will visit Junagarh Fort, which contains many palaces and temples. You will then go for a walk in the local bazaars to do some shopping. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

    Bikaner / Pushkar (350 km approx.)

    Breakfast at the hotel and meeting with the guide. Early departure towards Pushkar.

    Pushkar is a small town on the banks of one of the most sacred lakes in India. It was built in the 14th century, and rests on a base raised by steps. Lunch at the hotel and check in.

    In the late afternoon you will visit the sacred Pushkar Lake and the Temple of Brahma, one of the only sanctuaries in India dedicated to the god-creator himself. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

    Pushkar / Jaipur (150 km approx.)

    Breakfast at the hotel and meeting with the guide. Departure for the pink city: Jaipur.

    The capital of Rajasthan, the “pink city” takes its name from the colour of its palaces, its Havelis and its forts built in pink sandstone. Jaipur, which means “the city of victory,” was built in 1727 by Sawai Jai Singh-II.

    The city was built in accordance with the “Shilpa Shastra”, ancient treatise on Hindu architecture. Check in and have lunch at the hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

    Jaipur

    Breakfast at the hotel and meeting with the guide. In the morning you will visit Amber Fort, known for its Hindu art features. He dominates Jaipur, and is considered as one of the wonders of Rajput architecture.

    You will continue to visit Jaipur including the City Palace, the Observatory and the local market. The City Palace is a huge complex of magnificent palaces, complete with gardens and courtyards.

    The museum palace houses collections of rare manuscripts, weapons, costumes, rugs and miniatures … Afternoon free to continue your visit of the city. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

    Jaipur / Agra (262 km approx.)

    Breakfast at the hotel and meeting with the guide.

    You will leave for the city of Love: Agra with a visit en route to the city Fatehpur Sikri which was the imperial capital of the Mughal Empire in the 16th century.

    Lunch on route at a local restaurant. Check in at the Agra Hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

    Agra / Delhi (204 km approx.)

    Early Morning visit to enjoy the sunrise at Taj Mahal. On the bank of the Yamuna river, Emperor Shah Jehan built the Taj Mahal, the most perfect jewel of Indo-Persian art and recognized as a World Heritage Site, erected to perpetuate the memory of his favourite wife Mumtaz Mahal.

    At sunrise or sunset, the monument changes colour from pearly pink to golden yellow. The rectangular basin lined with cypresses reflects the monument of magical and enchanting charm, under the dome, Shah Jahan and Mumtaz rest together for eternity.

    It symbolizes the story of the perfect Great Love. Return to the hotel for breakfast and checkout. Visit of Agra Fort. Lunch in a local restaurant. You will return in the afternoon to the capital, Delhi. Check in, dinner and overnight at the hotel.

    Delhi

    Arrival in Delhi. You will be welcomed by our local representative. Transfer to the hotel and check in.

    Then, on route for a visit of the city of New Delhi. The capital of India is a fascinating, complex and contradictory city, filled with beauty, dynamism and where the past coexists with the present. You will discover Old Delhi with the visit of Raj Ghat which is the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi. You will continue your journey with the Jama Masjid Grand Mosque.
